The remake in question is for the beloved 2003 classic, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Fans can get their hands on it on January 21, 2021 for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Those who purchase on PS4/Xbox One will receive a free upgrade for PS5/Xbox Series X, according to the Ubisoft Store preorder page. Ubisoft unveiled the project during today’s Ubisoft Forward stream. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country,” PUBG said in a statement. HT on September 2 had reported that PUBG, along with 118 mobile apps that have links with China, was banned because there were reports that these apps were “stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorised manner”. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace,” the ministry of electronics and information technology (Meity) had said. The was viewed as targeting some of China’s technology giants such as Tencent Holdings Ltd; the country’s search engine leader Baidu Inc; Xiaomi’s ShareSave; and online payments giant Ant Group Co’’s platform Alipay. “This is a business call,” said an official, who did not wish to be named. The larger issues are data privacy and security and the information that the apps are collecting from users. We have sent 70-odd questions to the blocked apps and asked them to review and respond.”

“It hopes to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution that will allow gamers to once again drop into the battlegrounds while being fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations,” said the statement. “As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localised and healthy game play environment for its fans.” India accounts for over a quarter of PUBG Mobile’s lifetime installs though revenues from the country are still minuscule, a Bloomberg report said citing data from research firm Sensor Tower. The banned versions of PUBG included PUBG Mobile Lite, a leaner version of the app suited to inexpensive smartphones, as well as PUBG Mobile Nordic Map: Livik, a newer game played on a Nordic terrain. Raman Jit Singh Chima, a lawyer and the policy director at Asia-Pacific at Access Now, believes that the government is citing law and order and data protection as grounds for an economic decision. “Usually, countries prosecute a firm civilly or use criminal law if it violates data protection standards, and not block their services,” said Chima. “PUBG’s actions seem to indicate that they are hopeful that the government may reinstate the app. If we look at the United States (US), they are clear about the fact that their move against Tencent is an economic one and aims to restrict its activities. The US has not banned PUBG,” he added. Chima said it appears to be a political move and the government must also explain why it has used these provisions. “The order should be made public, as should the reports that led to the action. There may be other apps in India doing the same thing but the government won’t take action against them. That shows that it is a response to counter Chinese interests and not to protect the privacy of citizens or for national security,” he added.

This essentially means that the original South Korea-based gaming company is taking over the responsibilities, and we could see the game being unbanned in the country soon. Tencent had reportedly lost $34 billion in terms of market value, just a day after the ban on 118 Chinese apps in India.

THE next big PUBG Mobile update is launching in the next 24-hours across Android and iOS, with developers Tencent providing news on when to expect Season 15.

PUBG Mobile update 1.0 is launching this week and is set to include some important changes for the game, as well as the release of the Season 15 Pass Royale. One of the most eye-catching changes is the launch of the revamped Erangel map, which will boast new visuals and POIs, including forgotten trenches, tree-trunk barriers, abandoned tanks and bunkers. The models and texture quality are also being improved, with Tencent hoping that the improvements will “give battles a more realistic feel, such as buildings and environment textures, particles, smoke, air blasts, muzzle flashes, and the scope interaction. The “Ultra HD” function can be unlocked for the highest graphic quality.”

 

OnePlus 8T Pro Apparently Canceled For 2020, OnePlus 8 Pro To Remain Its Flagship 👎

 

The OnePlus 8T Pro may not be coming this year as the T upgrades may be exclusive to the OnePlus 8. The OnePlus 8 Pro may remain the company’s flagship smartphone for 2020.

As we head into September, there’s a lot to look forward to in the world of smartphones. Apart from the iPhone launches, September also spawns a new OnePlus T device. Leaks have so far hinted at a OnePlus 8T with a few notable upgrades. However, OnePlus may not plan a Pro version of the same this year. In short, there possibly won’t be a OnePlus 8T Pro this year.

Surprised? Well, popular tipster Max J. has confirmed in his latest tweet that there won’t be a OnePlus 8T Pro this year. The tipster has shared an image with a banned logo on the word “Kebab2”. For those who have no idea, Kebab2 was the codename for OnePlus 8T Pro this year. Max has stated no reasons for the cancellation. He has, however, said nothing about the OnePlus 8T.
